What is CAM?

Simply put, Choice Awareness Management is the art, science and management of choices. For most of us, the related aspects, characteristics and tenor of our life are based upon the selections we have made and continue to make for ourselves; our choices and decisions.

For the aspirant, making a decision and a choice involves some science and some art (i.e. intuitive or heightened awareness: insight). You can also manage those decisions and choices to great impact in your life, if you are willing to take responsibility for and measure your selections.

Is this a simple activity? Absolutely Yes!!! Learned people from all ages can attest to the difficulty in moving one's life forward. We seem at odds with life at times. And it appears that we have some obstacles in continuing to keep attention on making effective decisions and choices. We are human after all, and to our benefit or detriment, we sometimes lose and gain sight of those things important to us. However, it really is not that tough to figure out how to move forward: especially, when you apply Choice Awareness Management in your life.

Our Choices & Decisions Define our Life

Fundamental Understanding

Whether we realize it or not, we are responsible for them and they can actually define who we are. At a macro-level, these selections include such things as our careers and professions, our life mate’s, where we live, our friends, all of the things that we do, all the things that we have, and that which we have become.

A serious and ponderous first observation, so re-read the last sentence and think about it before proceeding further. One other comment which may prove instructive in balancing the message about how we perceive ourselves is that it is merely a concept. The value of the concept is in the usefulness of it, not in the truthfulness of it (i.e. we will discuss this in detail in our courses).

Now that you have absorbed the significance of the first observation, let's go deeper to a micro-level. Here, it is how we respond to the challenges that life presents to us daily. Literally, our attitudes, everything about our lives and the manner in which we conduct ourselves are all completely based upon our choices and decisions we make – everyday!

How effective are we at making them?

If you would like to determine your effectiveness at making choices and decisions, ask yourself some simple questions. Start with “Am I doing all the things I really love doing? Do I have all the things I want for myself, my family, and my friends? Am I being who I want to be?” Calibrate your answers by using the Awareness Scale and check your results to the top possibility of 10. If your answer is less than 10, you may want to consider how Choice Awareness Management can help you.

Can You Change Your Life?

First off, do you believe it is possible to change? This is a huge question. The answer of which lives within a number of things. Some are answerable easily, others no so. But to continue the inquiry, if it is possible to change, what must one do to affect change? And, to what extent can we actually implement change? Can we do it right away, does it take practice, effort, and what must one do to see consistent change? All of these are very good questions! The original CAM methodology

We think you can change and believe that Choice Awareness Management can affect your lives significantly and simply - by you learning how to become more effective in your selections. Participation with CAM is the means by which you can accomplish that: you will produce the actions necessary to implement change.

That is a rather bold statement but we support our contention with an effective methodology we have developed to help you change. We call it the Choice Awareness Management Methodology and it contains three separate interrelated processes: 1) Choice Awareness; 2) Choice Realization and 3) Choice Engagement.

The CAM Methodology  Provides a Process for Change

When implemented and tailored to your specific needs and requirements, you will begin changing the criteria you use for your selections. You will learn to identify that which is important and you will learn to appreciate and accept the choices and decisions you make for yourself. When the three processes are combined and used consistently, you will forward living your life to the fullest potential.

The diagram close by illustrates our methodology in a simple yet easy to understand way. It should be read from left to right beginning with awareness, followed by realization and finally engagement.

Each circle depicts a separate process which has both movement and connection with each subsequent circle. In its totality, the circles interact and intersect. The intersection points have significance. When understood, this diagram will become the basis our new choosing methodology.

You can come to understand its power and simplicity.  You can  move forward from ordinary decisions, to effective life altering personal and professional choices.
