Our Founder

Summary

Mr. Benninghofen is the principal of Choice Awareness Management; an educational consulting company providing business coaching and mentoring services to companies and individuals. Bob has over 30 years of experience in the field of management, information technology, consulting and sales. Bob has been coaching professionally since 2003, while mentoring over 1,000 people during his business life.

Background

His experience includes leadership positions in corporate life in technical domains spanning multiple data center/services operations, medium to enterprise-scale software development and implementation projects, and professional services consulting groups. In addition, he has strong technical competency in the disciplines of accounting, business analysis and process, employee development & recruiting, software development, inventory control/manufacturing, sales and business development. Throughout his career, Bob’s focus has been to assist clients in implementing their visions:  distilling complex requirements into workable solutions, engaging people and process while drawing upon a wide range of skills and knowledge invoking inquiry, analysis, creativity, facilitation and mentoring.

Experience

He began his career in the IT management training program with General Foods by providing technical services and solutions to corporate groups spanning all disciplines from support services to P&L units including production and manufacturing.  As a manager and technology practitioner the next 21 years, he expanded his knowledge and talents by working with a multitude of professionals of all levels: from executives to manufacturing shop-floor people. He sold services for 10 years, successfully helping grow two staffing/consulting firms. He has created three companies during his business life, and today participates at a board-level with a number of non-profit organizations. Bob’s main talent is uncovering people’s greatness, engaging them in effective actions and language, while forwarding growth and prosperity in themselves and their businesses.
